Drilling & Exploration

Since early 2010, AQM Copper has completed over 138,000m of drilling, primarily on the Zafranal Main, Victoria, Sicera Sur and Sicera Norte Zones, all of which host potentially economic copper mineralization. The Company has also completed geophysical surveys, surface geochemistry and mapping on other exploration targets on the Property.

On the Main Zone, drilling to date has confirmed high grade copper mineralization in an enriched blanket defined over a 3,300 x up to 600m area with a thickness of between 50-150m, as well as primary copper mineralization down to over 600 metres depth. This east-west trending blanket averages approximately 0.7% Cu, and consists of chalcocite and minor covellite replacing chalcopyrite. In 2011, AQM discovered the Victoria porphyry target, which lies on strike to the Main Zone and represents an additional 800 metres strike length of mineralization.
